Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Studies and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. Sarah has been recognized as a Board Certified Hippotherapy Clinical Specialist (HPCS) through the American Hippotherapy Certification Board since 2019.

She is the owner and founder of Strides Therapy Clinic, the first clinic in Ireland to offer hippotherapy as a treatment strategy. Since 2014 Sarah has grown this from a single occupational therapist clinic to employing three full time Occupational Therapists, a Speech-Language Pathologist and three full time horse handlers.

In 2015 Sarah was short-listed to compete as "Irelands Best Young Entrepreneur" in recognition of the development of her therapy clinic. She regularly presents at conferences, seminars and guest lectures on the use of equine movement as a treatment strategy in OT, PT and SLT. Her clinic also provides clinical fieldwork placements to occupational therapy students.

Sarah is passionate about the clinical use of equine movement as a treatment strategy and is continuously seeking ways to expand and share her knowledge. She began training as a faculty member for the AHA in 2019 and is currently going through this process. She is a member of the International Taskforce and also the Education Committee.

Sarah has been involved with horses since she was a child and has worked in the thoroughbred and racing industry in Ireland. She shares her love of horses with her husband and when they are not working they are out competing together with their son.
